Review by Charles Aeschlimann

Errol Dixon's album Living With The Blues is a soulful and captivating collection of songs that takes listeners on a journey through the ups and downs of life. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers of classic blues tunes, all of which are performed with Dixon's signature style and flair.

From the opening track "Living With The Blues," Dixon's rich and powerful vocals immediately draw listeners in, setting the tone for the rest of the album. The songs range from upbeat and uplifting, such as "Jumping With Symphony Sid," to more introspective and melancholic, like "Blues In The Night."

One of the standout tracks on the album is Dixon's cover of "Stormy Monday," which showcases his impressive piano skills and emotive vocals. Another highlight is the upbeat and infectious "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man," which will have listeners tapping their feet and singing along.

About Errol Dixon

Born in Clarendon Parish, Jamaica in 1939, Errol Barnes (Dixon is his professional name) first started singing in local night clubs, his material consisting of current standards and "blues" ballads. In 1957 came to Britain to study music but spent more time making records and singing in the London clubs. His recording of "Midnight Train" topped the charts in Jamaica for months and was a sizeable hit in England too. Since then Errol has recorded frequently, all too often recording material strictly for the commercial market.
