Everything Everything's fourth studio album, Arc, is a complex and intricate piece of work that showcases the band's musical prowess and artistic vision. The album is a continuation of the band's unique sound, blending elements of indie rock, electronic music, and pop to create a sound that is both familiar and fresh.
From the opening track, "Cough Cough," the album sets the tone for what is to come. The song is a frenetic and energetic piece of work, with driving drums and soaring vocals that demand attention. This energy continues throughout the album, with tracks like "Kemosabe" and "Torso of the Week" showcasing the band's ability to craft catchy hooks and memorable melodies.

Walking Upside DownArc is so tortuously baroque that it literally becomes full of rococo excessiveness. "And it's one for the money and two for the show. Your idle hands. And now, who's the fossil and who gets the girl? It's all so clear." Arc is so convoluted and elaborate that it indeed resembles more some exotic conch than art pop album.
