Död Skog, the latest album by Gamla Skogar, is a haunting and atmospheric journey through the depths of the forest. The Swedish black metal band has crafted a collection of songs that are both raw and refined, with a sound that is firmly rooted in the traditions of the genre.

The album opens with the eerie instrumental track "Trollskogen," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. From there, the band launches into "Frostbiten," a blistering track that showcases their ability to blend aggressive riffs with melodic passages.

Throughout the album, Gamla Skogar demonstrates a mastery of dynamics, with songs like "Vintermörker" and "Dödens Vindar" shifting seamlessly between moments of intense fury and more subdued, atmospheric sections.
