Review by Ilsoda Musa

Are These Really Mine Harriet is an album that showcases the talent of Gene Krupa and his orchestra. The album features a mix of swing and jazz tunes that are sure to get your feet tapping.

The album opens with the lively track "Drum Boogie", which sets the tone for the rest of the album. Krupa's drumming is impeccable and the orchestra's brass section adds a nice touch to the track.

"Leave Us Leap" is another standout track on the album. The horn section takes center stage and delivers an energetic performance that is sure to get you moving.

The album also features a few slower, more romantic tracks such as "Harriet" and "Lover". These tracks showcase the softer side of Krupa's drumming and the orchestra's ability to create a beautiful, mellow atmosphere.

GK' band sounds great even on what I would call a novelty tune. Columbia Records sound recording during this period was great which helped present the band to the max!!!
