Alkaline Mercury K-Sly Silver Bullet MCM and HuntKillBury Finn were some of the greatest emcees this lil island ever produced! Way ahead of their time and rival anything the yanks could do!! this to me was our equivelent to todays east london 'grime' scene....except a million times better.they never had no major recold label support,no major radio/mtv airplay or watered down r&b screaming teeny bopper fans....not to mention the internet....it was all underground,word of mouth hardcore.....i met alkerline a couple of times as well @ my mates old digs in walthemstow about 5-6 yrs ago....proper safe geezer!
