Review by Gerci Monteiro de Freitas

Herbert von Karajan, the renowned conductor, has once again showcased his musical prowess in the album Operatic Intermezzi, performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra. The album features a collection of interludes from some of the most celebrated operas, including Verdi's La Traviata and Puccini's Madama Butterfly.

The Philharmonia Orchestra's performance is nothing short of spectacular, with each musician perfectly executing their part to create a harmonious and emotive sound. Karajan's masterful conducting brings out the best in the orchestra, with his attention to detail and precision evident in every note.

The album's standout moments include the hauntingly beautiful interlude from Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and the dramatic interlude from Verdi's Aida. Each track is a testament to the skill of both the orchestra and Karajan, who have worked together to create a truly memorable album.
