Review by Morris May

Invisible Limits' album Sex Symbol is a captivating and energetic work that showcases the band's unique blend of new wave and electronic music. The album features a variety of catchy and danceable tracks, each with its own distinct personality and style.

From the pulsing beat of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" to the haunting melodies of "The Devotion Remains," Sex Symbol is a well-crafted album that takes listeners on a journey through the band's musical landscape. The vocals are powerful and emotive, adding depth and meaning to the lyrics.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Golden Dreams," a synth-heavy track that is both dark and uplifting. The song's driving rhythm and soaring chorus make it a highlight of the album.

About Invisible Limits

INVISIBLE LIMITS is a German synth pop/EBM/Darkwave band founded in the 80s. The founding members Andreas Küchenmeister (drums, keyboard), Ralf Schauf (bass), Marion Küchenmeister (vocals) and T. Lüdke (vocals, keyboard) had nationwide club successes with the first two maxi singles. After the departure of T. Lüdke in the summer of 1986, Marion Küchenmeister took over vocal duties. With their cover of "Love will tear us apart" the got Europe-wide recognition. From 1987, the guitarist Juergen Jaeger jun. reinforced the band live and in the studio. From 1987 to 1995, INVISIBLE LIMITS produced four studio albums and a live album with producers such as Micki Meuser (Die Ärzte), Janez Krizaj (Ljubljana) or John Fryer (HIM, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails). Since the end of the eighties INVISIBLE LIMITS performed at festivals and have been successful abroad, especially in Spain and France. In the later 90s the band became a duo with Marion and Andreas Küchenmeister. Their album "Violence" was released in 1995 in South America, the title song made it into the top 10 of the Argentina dance charts. After 2000, INVISIBLE LIMITS became quieter, playing few concerts at selected festivals (including WGT 2003) and European clubs (including Riga, Stockholm, Berlin, Madrid).
