Jack Or Jive's album 108 is a mesmerizing and hypnotic journey through experimental music. The duo, consisting of vocalist Chako and multi-instrumentalist Makoto Hattori, creates a unique soundscape that blends elements of ambient, industrial, and electronic music.
The album opens with the haunting track "Kyuubi," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its eerie vocals and pulsating beats. The following tracks, such as "Mugen" and "Toki," continue to build on this atmosphere, with layers of atmospheric synths and percussion creating a sense of otherworldliness.
Chako's vocals are a standout feature of the album, with her ethereal and haunting voice perfectly complementing the experimental instrumentation. The track "Kocho" is a prime example of this, with Chako's vocals weaving in and out of the intricate percussion and electronic sounds.
