Review by Debbie Iverson

Rocks In The Mountain is an exceptional album by the legendary country singer Jimmie Davis. Released in 1966, the album features a collection of 12 tracks that showcase Davis' unique musical style and soulful vocals.

The album opens with the title track, "Rocks In The Mountain," a foot-stomping tune that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Davis' voice is powerful and emotive, and his lyrics are both poetic and relatable.

Other standout tracks on the album include "I'm Just A Nobody," a poignant ballad that showcases Davis' ability to convey deep emotion through his vocals, and "I'll Be Satisfied," a catchy tune with a memorable chorus.

Throughout the album, Davis is backed by a talented group of musicians who provide a rich and varied musical landscape. From the twangy guitar riffs on "I Can't Help Wondering" to the soulful horns on "I'm Just A Nobody," the instrumentation on Rocks In The Mountain is top-notch.
