Review by Daniele Mancino

Las Tortugas have released their latest album, Dicen Que Lloraste Déjame Ser, and it's a must-listen for fans of Latin rock. The band's signature sound is infused with heartfelt lyrics and dynamic melodies that will keep you engaged from start to finish.

The album's title track, "Dicen Que Lloraste Déjame Ser," is a standout with its catchy chorus and powerful vocals. The track "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" is another highlight, with its upbeat tempo and inspiring lyrics.

Las Tortugas demonstrate their versatility throughout the album, seamlessly blending different genres like rock, pop, and salsa. The instrumentation is top-notch, with guitar riffs and percussion that add depth and texture to each track.

You should hear the version of this song by my Uncle Ed's band The Thunderbirds. On Delaware records.

You wouldn't know by this wild tune, but the Turtles had that certain special & unique something in their great sound that nobody else possessed.....Rich deep harmonies, effervescent pop classics, unique melodies, clever writing, stylish production values enhanced by state-of-the-art recording techniques mastered by top notch recordists in the highest rated Studios of the times. They certainly remain one of my top preferred bands of the day......."The Rockin' Professor" KCAL 99.9 AM Radio Santa Monica, Ca. 9-Midnite Weekends (1963-1968)

@John1948ThirteenA Yes, 3 minor hits including Your Ma and I Saw Linda Yesterday. The Dino original of Your Ma never charted in the UK. I've never realised until now that Your Ma was virtually copied 3 years later by The Dave Clark 5 as Bits and Pieces.

@nelson5857 I don't remember but I do know he had a number of hits in the UK and I remember he did a nice cover of I Saw Linda Yesterday.

Does anyone remember Doug Sheldon's cover, which came out at the same time as Kenny Dino's?

the melody of this song sounds exactly like "I'm in Pieces ,Bits and Pieces" even the drum fill at the end is identical to Dave Clarks ,I wonder which one came first

This was the flip side of the Turtles' Let Me Be 45. And with all due respect to the stupendous original version by the late Kenny Dino, this one blows all others right out of the water. Absolutely stupendous!

Excellent rendering of the under-appreciated P.F. Sloan song.
