Orthodoxy - Shaarimoth

Review by Kim Robinson

Orthodoxy's latest album, Shaarimoth, is a testament to the band's mastery of the black metal genre. From the opening track, "Shaarimoth," to the closing track, "Ashen Remains," the album is a relentless assault on the senses.

The production on Shaarimoth is top-notch, with every instrument and vocal track coming through crystal clear. The guitars are sharp and aggressive, the drums thunderous and precise, and the vocals are guttural and intense.

The album's standout tracks include "Flame of Primordial Essence," "Ereshkigal," and "Solve et Coagula." These songs showcase the band's ability to seamlessly blend melody and aggression, creating a sound that is both haunting and beautiful.

One of the most impressive aspects of Shaarimoth is the band's ability to create a sense of atmosphere throughout the album. The use of ambient sounds and eerie samples adds an extra layer of depth to the music, creating a truly immersive listening experience.
