Review by Ronald Lawless

Late Night, the latest album from Paul Shaffer, is a delightful compilation of jazz and blues tracks that showcase his musical prowess. The album features a variety of guest artists, including Bill Murray, Darius Rucker, and Shaggy, who add their unique touch to the songs.

The album opens with the upbeat track "Happy Street," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. Shaffer's keyboard skills are on full display, and the song is sure to get listeners grooving along. "Cast Your Fate to the Wind," a classic jazz tune, is given a fresh twist by Shaffer and his band, with a lively saxophone solo that is sure to impress.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Willow Weep for Me," a haunting ballad that showcases Shaffer's soulful piano playing. The addition of Darius Rucker's smooth vocals gives the song a rich depth that is truly captivating.

Late Night closes with "Sorrowful Blues," a slow and melancholic track that is the perfect way to end the album. Shaffer's piano playing is emotive and heartfelt, and the addition of Shaggy's vocals adds a touch of soulfulness to the song.
