American blues pianist and singer, a.k.a. Dr. Feelgood, younger brother of Rufus Perryman, more known as . He made recordings backing in 1936, but these were left unissued. His own recording career began in 1950 and he recorded prolifically almost up to his death. He performed regularly at in Underground Atlanta for years, where he was recorded live for several releases. Born: October 19, 1911 in Hampton, Georgia. Died: July 25, 1985 in Decatur, Georgia.
