Red Hot Chilly Peppers - Under The Bridge Live

Review by Daniel Meller

Under The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers is an iconic album that has stood the test of time. Released in 1991, the album features some of the band's most popular tracks, including the titular hit "Under The Bridge" and "Give It Away."

The album showcases the band's unique sound, blending elements of funk, punk, and rock to create a style that is entirely their own. The lyrics are introspective and personal, with lead singer Anthony Kiedis delving into themes of addiction, love, and loss.

The musicianship on the album is outstanding, with the band members demonstrating their exceptional skill on their respective instruments. The guitar work of John Frusciante is particularly noteworthy, with his intricate and melodic riffs adding depth to the songs.

He doesn’t get enough credit but I’m sure glad they got Arik for the rest of the tour! I don’t know if it was an active attempt to sabotage the songs or not but John’s wailing bad solos throughout most of the songs here & it’s a damn shame. The rest of the time, it still sounds great tho

I love this concert. Especially the wildness on Blood Sugar Sex Magik. I've had this bootleg for a long time but could not place its date and place.

imagine if they would of played all their best songs in this period...could of been great...played knock me down, higher ground, power of equality, my lovely man, funky monks, breaking the girl (they tried once, didn't go so well xD) soul to squeeze was already written with the rest of bssm...that would of been great. maybe a john song or two...maybe that would have helped keep him happy...after all the vast majority of the music on 1994 niandres was already written at this point...let him sing ten to butter blood voodoo and a couple of the less out there ones. could of really had a great setlist...don't understand why they limited themselves so much. they did play a couple of course with suck my kiss give it away, if you have to ask etc...but it's weird they didn't play their best songs...maybe my tastes are just subjectice though.
