The Renaissance Players have once again delivered a beautiful and captivating album, Songs For A Wise King Cantigas de Santa Maria I. The album features a collection of traditional medieval Spanish songs, or cantigas, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
The performances on the album are exceptional, with the players skillfully incorporating a variety of instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy, oud, and percussion to create an authentic medieval sound. The vocals are also stunning, with the harmonies and melodies blending seamlessly to create a truly enchanting listening experience.
