Review by Dayal Dave

Slok's album Hey Steve is a refreshing and unique take on electronic music. The album is a blend of different styles and genres, ranging from deep house to techno, creating a diverse and exciting listening experience. The tracks are expertly produced, with intricate soundscapes and layered beats that keep the listener engaged throughout.

The album's title track, "Hey Steve," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy melody and driving bass line. Other standout tracks include "Lonely Child," featuring haunting vocals and emotive piano chords, and "Banshee," which builds to a crescendo of frenetic beats and distorted synths.

About Slok

The Italian SLOK has been a pre-eminent force in electronic music for some time now...he has had a big influence on the Italian Breakbeat, Drum'n'Bass and Jungle scene with his two debut albums 'They Call it Jungle' and 'Freak 2000', both produced for the world renowned Irma Records. After a natural change to the electronic scene and 'Personal House Music' beats and sounds in 2006, the international club hit 'Lonely Child', released with the collaboration of Satoshi Tomiie & Hector Romero's SAW Recordings label (Defmix Production), boosted his musical career extremely quickly. His discography also includes releases and remixes on high profile record labels like Get Physical Music, My Favorite Robot, One Records, Circle Music, Turbo, OM, Harthouse, Plastic Fantastic (Stereonova), Futic Tokyo and many more. SLOK currently runs his own imprint Electronic Petz, a structure created for supporting new enterprising electronic music. In 2010 he released two very different albums: 'Rain' on Alex Flatner's label Circle Music and 'The Fat Pasta Grooves' on Electronic Petz. In March 2012 he debuted on Subb-An & Adam Shelton's One Records to a whole host of international support and glowing reviews alike. For his latest release on Circle Music he invited brothers in crime My Favorite Robot to sing the vocals and the "Feel Alive EP" features remixes from Subb-An, Lopazz and CasioCasino, which also features on Hernan Cattaneo's Renaissance Master Series, and then his 2012 mix of 'Lonely Child' on My Favorite Robot Records.
