The album Eleven by Sonic Animation is a unique and eclectic mix of electronic beats, rock-inspired guitar riffs, and trippy vocals. The Australian duo, consisting of Adrian Cartwright and Rupert Keiller, have created an album that is both experimental and accessible, with catchy hooks and infectious grooves.
The opening track, "Theophilus Thistler," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its funky bassline and catchy chorus. Other standout tracks include "Love Lies Bleeding," with its haunting vocals and eerie synth sounds, and "E-Ville," which features a driving beat and distorted guitar riffs.
The album also features collaborations with a number of guest vocalists, including Amanda Brown of The Go-Betweens and MC Double D. These collaborations add a dynamic element to the album, showcasing Sonic Animation's ability to work with a variety of musical styles and personalities.
