Review by Jennifer Ricketts

Sonoma's album Love For You is a captivating collection of tracks that will leave listeners feeling uplifted and inspired. With its blend of upbeat pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics, this album is a must-listen for anyone who loves music that touches the soul.

From the opening track "Love For You" to the closing ballad "Never Let You Go", Sonoma's talent shines through on every song. The production is slick and polished, with each instrument and vocal perfectly balanced to create a rich and immersive listening experience.

One standout track is "Better Than This", a catchy tune that showcases Sonoma's ability to write relatable lyrics that resonate with listeners. The song's upbeat tempo and infectious chorus make it a perfect addition to any summer playlist.

Another standout track is "Let You Go", a soulful ballad that showcases Sonoma's powerful vocals. The song's emotional lyrics and stripped-down production create a raw and intimate atmosphere that is sure to tug at the heartstrings.

Sonoma album NOT on iTunes though. Maybe because of the Universal Studios fire back in June of 2008.

Charles Merriam was a fantastic pop songwriter during those early 70's Punch and Sonoma days. This is easily one of his best ! Love Tricia Johns lead vocal on this. Also check out their single "Way of a Clown" with Steve Adler singing lead. Not only a great song but the instrumentation and arrangement are first-rate. While Kathy Ward was a stunning beauty, I had a huge crush on Dee Steele back in '71 who was also a member of Punch. I often wonder where they all are today...

I heard a segment of this song once in 1973 and never heard it again. I never forgot it. I would ask people if they ever heard it, and no one did. I'd even sing what I remembered of it to people with no results. I started to think I imagined or dreamed it. I didn't know the name or the group so I'd take guesses in searching. 44 years and I found it. WHAT A GREAT SONG!!!

I remember 'Sanoma' playing this song live- on a freezing cold night, in Manchester Connecticut one early evening- I believe in October of that year. It was windy and cold and the singer(s) two if I recall ( does anyone know what happened to the lead singer or musicians? ) were wearing winter coats! The instruments managed to stay in tune miraculously and..they sounded great!! There were a lot of well known regional musicians there..as was I.. Wow...seems like yesterday... A 'golden era'..

Always loved this song... thanks for posting it!  It didn't crack the 100 nationally, but went well up into the top 30 in Hartford, Connecticut!
