Review by Brittany Feenstra

Cool Quiet Bossa Nova by Steve Allen is an impressive album that showcases the musician's mastery of the genre. The album features 12 tracks, each of which is a delightful blend of bossa nova rhythms, jazz harmonies, and Allen's own unique style.

From the opening track "Samba De Uma Nota So" to the closing number "Corcovado," Allen's piano playing is simply mesmerizing. He effortlessly weaves in and out of complex chord progressions, creating a rich and textured sound that is both relaxing and engaging.

The album also features some standout tracks, such as "The Girl from Ipanema," which is given a fresh and modern twist, and "Desafinado," which features some impressive improvisation from Allen.
