Review by Lynn Wallenstein

Tex Ritter's "Wichita September Song" is a timeless classic that showcases the singer's talent and versatility. The album features a range of songs, from upbeat honky-tonk tunes to sentimental ballads, all delivered with Ritter's signature smooth vocals and impeccable timing.

One standout track is the title song, "Wichita September Song," which tells the story of a cowboy's love for a woman who leaves him for the big city. Ritter's emotive delivery captures the heartbreak and longing of the lyrics, making it a standout moment on the album.

Other notable tracks include "The Wayward Wind," a catchy tune that showcases Ritter's playful side, and "Green Grow the Lilacs," a traditional folk song that Ritter imbues with his own unique style.
