Them's self-titled debut album, released in 1965, is a classic of the British Invasion era. Fronted by the young and charismatic Van Morrison, the band's raw, bluesy sound was a refreshing departure from the poppy, polished sound of many of their contemporaries.
The album features a mix of covers and original songs, with highlights including the infectious "Gloria," the moody "Mystic Eyes," and the soulful "Here Comes the Night." Morrison's vocals are the standout feature of the album, with his distinctive rasp and powerful delivery lending each song a sense of urgency and emotion.
