Notes
- Sleeve for this indicates a later Australian mono pressing. This one made and distributed by Phonogram rather than Philips Electrical which means it was released sometime after Phonogram started in Australia in 1967. My guess is a late 60s issue. Full original pressings can be found here The Walker Brothers - Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers. The disc in my copy looks like an original pressing which suggests that post 67 Phonogram printed new sleeves and issued with remaining vinyl stock.
- Digitally remastered with extra tracks.
- This is a unique EP manufactured and distributed only in New Zealand. The sleeve is thick card, laminated both sides and features spine text "Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers". The vinyl is very heavy gauge and stiff.
- Stereo edition in mono cover with stickered stereo catalogue number on the back cover.
- BL 7691 on spine. No "Stereo" text on front cover.
- SBL 7691 sticker on back covering mono catalogue number.
- Label variant from The Walker Brothers - Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers.
- Ⓟ1965 printed underneath publishing info on labels.
- Front laminated cover, back has another layout than The Walker Brothers - Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers.
- Category BL 7691 on spine, BL7691 on back cover, BL.7691 on labels, B 14562 L on back cover & labels.

Take It Easy is a curiously eclectic blend of different kinds of pop music popular in the mid-1960's, covering songs written by songwriters as diverse as Burt Bacharach, Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye, and Randy Newman. The album definitely has the feel of mimicking the Righteous Brothers' recipe of taking soul music and making it more palatable for mainstream white pop audiences with sweeping (and now dated) string arrangements and deep-voiced harmonies. In some cases, this kind of production makes for a bit of melodramatic mystery underlying songs, and the harmonies work surprisingly well with Dylan's "Love Minus Zero/No Limit." Their cover of "Dancing in the Street" manages to eek out some flair despite the decidedly mellow production, but the cover of "Land of 1,000 Dances" is dreadfully anemic. All-in-all Take It Easy is an uneven record both in style and in quality, but it does work as a compelling portrait of the state of pop music circa 1965.
