Review by William Lamb

WeR7's latest album, Dance To This, is a delightful collection of upbeat tracks that are sure to get listeners moving. From the opening track, "Let's Dance," to the closing number, "Good Vibes," the album is a non-stop party that will leave listeners feeling energized and uplifted.

The album features a range of styles, from disco-infused tracks like "Funky Town" to more modern dance-pop numbers like "Electric Love." Throughout the album, WeR7's infectious energy and catchy melodies are front and center, making it impossible not to tap your feet and sing along.

One standout track is "Feel The Beat," which features a driving bassline and infectious chorus that will have listeners hitting the dance floor in no time. Another highlight is "Party All Night," a fun and catchy track that's perfect for any club or party.

Notes

  • Extremely rare 1982 recordings of WeR7 in original Conventional Tapes packaging, featuring Gary Gipps/Ramon and Tony Clough, briefly released then deleted from the Con catalogue.
  • This is an original manually copied release version on AGFA Fe tape, with hand-written labels, both sides reading "WeR7 A" for some reason. The condition is near mint, played once or twice, with good levels, and the sleeve packaging is also very good, with intact photocopied one-sided sleeve notes, but some fold marks. The case is scuffed, but you could easily replace this with a similar one if you wish.
  • "...synth, drum machine, flageolet, echo unit, flanger, clarina 8, electric guitar, voices, claves, sleigh bells, hand drums, glock, bamboo flute, tambour, trumpet, violin, tapes, whoopee flute, tape manipulation.
  • Lead line from "Fairground Distortion" adapted from synth part of The Ordinary's "Rules" by Ashleigh Marsh.
  • Previous recordings; Disquiet Music, Fragments
  • ...
  • Thank you for listening"
  • I am listing this at £75 due to the rarity, but am open to reasonable offers, particularly if you can swap it for the first release version of "The End of an Error" - the full length copy without cut-offs due to sloppy commercial copying.
