Claro Que Si includes one of my favorite songs by Yello, the astonishing, wildly imaginative single "Pinball Cha Cha." Sure, some may consider this cut to be a totally out in left field novelty song but I beg to differ. It's less Dr. Demento's novelty song funny and more in the spirit of the quirky TV Show, And Now for Something Completely Different featuring Monty Python's Flying Circus. "Pinball Cha Cha" (specifically, from 1:30 to 2:15) can only be described as wonderfully inspired, wondrously strange percussive lunacy that (in a perfect world at least will) either make you laugh or just smile from ear to ear. Dieter Meier's vocals on the, ahem, disco-flavored "Daily Disco" are a bit much I will admit. However, I think they bring a certain je ne sais quoi to the song which seems to be (based on the lyrics anyway) about obsession and unrequited love. This is a solid album with some memorable additions to the Yello canon including: "No More Roger" which owes an obvious debt to Kraftwerk; "The Evening's Young," a great single with a terrific MTV video to boot," Homer Hossa" a lovely, moody instrumental; and the delightfully noir-Esque "She's Got A Gun." Not all the songs here are excellent. In fact, some are self-indulgent and a bit more experimental in nature. If you already a fan of Yello, you'll probably be a bit more forgiving than most and ignore some of the album's flaws.
