Review by Connie Mick

Music From Shubert Alley is a delightful album featuring the talents of Andy Williams, Alfred Drake, Lisa Kirk, Ray Walston, Doretta Morrow, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The album captures the essence of New York's theatre district with a collection of popular show tunes from the 1950s.

The vocal performances on this album are exceptional, with each artist bringing their unique style and personality to the songs. Andy Williams' smooth voice is perfectly suited for ballads like "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" and "My Funny Valentine", while Alfred Drake's powerful baritone shines on "The Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and "Some Enchanted Evening".

Lisa Kirk's lively and playful rendition of "I Can Cook Too" is a standout track, as is Ray Walston's comical performance of "Hernando's Hideaway". Doretta Morrow's soaring vocals on "Make Believe" and Betty Comden and Adolph Green's charming duet on "Just in Time" add even more variety to the album.
