Burst's album In Coveting Ways Conquest Writhe is a masterpiece of melodic metal. The Swedish band's fifth studio release is a cohesive and powerful work, featuring intricate guitar work, thundering drums, and emotive vocals.
The album opens with "Where the Wave Broke," a track that sets the tone for the rest of the album with its driving rhythm and soaring melodies. "Sever" is another standout track, featuring a hauntingly beautiful chorus and blistering guitar solos.
Throughout the album, Burst showcases their ability to seamlessly blend different genres, incorporating elements of post-rock and progressive metal into their sound. The result is a dynamic and captivating listening experience that keeps the listener engaged from start to finish.
