Review by mohd alhaial

Les Patineurs, the album by Charles Mackerras and the Philharmonia Orchestra, is a stunning collection of classical music pieces that will take you on a journey through time and space. The album is a tribute to the French composer Emil Waldteufel, who was known for his waltzes and polkas. The orchestra's performance is outstanding, with each instrument blending perfectly to create a harmonious sound.

The album commences with the title track, "Les Patineurs," which translates to "The Skaters." The piece is light and playful, with the orchestra mimicking the movements of ice skaters. The second piece, "Estudiantina," is a delightful waltz that will leave you humming the tune long after it's over.

The album continues with a range of pieces, including "Pluie d'étoiles" (Shower of Stars), "Toujours ou jamais" (Always or Never), and "Bella Bocca Polka." Each piece is unique and showcases the orchestra's versatility and skill.
