Review by Laura CONTEA

Demo by Daighila is an impressive debut album that showcases the band's unique sound and style. The album features a diverse range of tracks that blend elements of post-punk, shoegaze, and alternative rock. The band's use of atmospheric guitar tones and haunting vocals create a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere that draws the listener in.

One standout track on the album is "Monday Morning," which features a driving bassline and catchy guitar riffs that will have listeners tapping their feet. The lyrics are introspective and relatable, painting a picture of the struggles of everyday life.

Another standout track is "Echoes," which features a slower tempo and a more contemplative mood. The song builds to a powerful crescendo, with soaring vocals and a wall of sound that envelops the listener.

About Daighila

Daighila is a four piece emoviolence outfit from Malaysia that took the foundation laid by the bands that ruled euro in the mid 90s, like Fingerprint and Anomie to name a few and put in addition of metal-driven guitar works and combustible drum beats with screeching voice. They play what most might call today 'screamo' but it is really a blend of everything u can get in a hc/punk record shop.
