The Montmartre Collection by Dexter Gordon is a must-listen for any jazz enthusiast. The album is a compilation of live recordings from the legendary Montmartre Jazzhus in Copenhagen, Denmark, where Gordon played regularly in the early 1970s.

The album showcases Gordon's signature style of playing the tenor saxophone with a smooth and soulful sound. He is accompanied by a talented group of musicians that includes pianist Kenny Drew, bassist Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath.

The tracks on the album range from upbeat and energetic to slow and melancholic, and each one is a testament to Gordon's incredible talent and passion for jazz music. The standout tracks include "Fried Bananas," "Body and Soul," and "You've Changed."

The recording quality of the album is exceptional, capturing the energy and ambiance of the Montmartre Jazzhus perfectly. The listener can almost feel as though they are in the audience, experiencing the magic of Dexter Gordon's live performances.
