Review by Randymayelectric HHI

The album Pariser Symphonien by Joseph Haydn, Süddeutsche Kammerphilharmonie, Günther Wich is a delightful collection of symphonies that showcases the brilliance of Haydn's compositions. The Süddeutsche Kammerphilharmonie, under the direction of Günther Wich, delivers a polished and nuanced performance that captures the essence of these works.

The album features three of Haydn's symphonies - No. 82 in C major, No. 83 in G minor, and No. 84 in E-flat major - collectively known as the "Paris Symphonies." The Süddeutsche Kammerphilharmonie brings out the intricacies and complexities of these pieces, highlighting the composer's use of counterpoint and his mastery of orchestration.

The first symphony, No. 82 in C major, is a joyous and lively piece that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The second symphony, No. 83 in G minor, is a more dramatic and intense work that showcases Haydn's ability to create tension and release. The final symphony, No. 84 in E-flat major, is a playful and charming piece that brings the album to a satisfying conclusion.

About Joseph Haydn, Süddeutsche Kammerphilharmonie, Günther Wich

Born: 1732-03-31 (Rohrau, Austria) Born 31 march or 1st April, 1732. Died: 1809-09-05 (Vienna, Austria). Franz Joseph Haydn was an Austrian composer of the Classical period. He brings the "sonata form" to a very high degree of improvement. His symphonies and his string quartets (forms of which he is considered "the father") have become highly inspirational style models. Haydn made a fundamental contribution to the development of chamber music; thanks to the numerous quartets, trios for piano, for strings and also with the unusual trios for baryton, viola and cello.
