Review by Becky Dvorak

Final Daze is the twelfth and final studio album by the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, released in 2021. The album features nine tracks that showcase the band's signature sound and style, with a mix of hard rock and bluesy ballads.

Led Zeppelin fans will be pleased with the album's opening track, "The End is Near," which features Jimmy Page's iconic guitar riffs and Robert Plant's powerful vocals. The album's second track, "Blackout," is a hard-hitting rock anthem that showcases John Bonham's drumming skills.

Other standout tracks include "Fading Light," a haunting ballad that features Plant's emotional vocals and Page's intricate guitar work, and "Final Daze," a powerful and epic track that builds up to a soaring chorus.

Led Zeppelin formed out of the ashes of The Yardbirds.  had joined the band in its final days, playing a pivotal role on the group's final album, 1967's , which also featured string arrangements from . During 1967, the Yardbirds were fairly inactive.  Whilst the band members decided the group's future, Page returned to session work in 1967. In the spring of 1968, he played on Jones' arrangement of 's "Hurdy Gurdy Man." During the sessions, Jones requested to be part of any future project Page would develop. Page would have to assemble a band sooner than he had planned. In the summer of 1968, the Yardbirds' and left, leaving Page and bassist with the rights to the name, as well as the obligation of fulfilling an upcoming fall tour. Page set out to find a replacement vocalist and drummer. Initially, he wanted to enlist singer Terry Reid and Procol Harum's drummer B.J. Wilson, but neither musician was able to join the group. Reid suggested that Page contact Robert Plant, who was singing with a band called Hobbstweedle. Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 (Performer).

This is an absolute piece of gold. Thank you for this upload.

Its kinda crazy how MSG in 1970 still sounds like it reverberates the same way in 2022. Place was secretely made for live music to sound and feel absolutely amazing. The fact youre lofted up and can literally bounce if the crowd is moving enough. Once you feel that you can never enjoy a show the same. After being to at least like 25 shows there out of the 200+ concerts ive seen its easily the greatest place to see a band.

Sidebar, love how similar the crowd cheers and jeers sound to phish wooks at shows ?

Not sure why Page is holding on to all these sb recordings. He gonna die soon like all the great 60's and 70's artists are in the next decade or so. The problem with keeping stuff secret is it dies when you do. Fool, just like that greedy thug Grant. Remastering their catalogue was a waste compared to putting out these live shows. Oh well, guess he's too much of an anal egomaniac to have any errors put on an album. We fans would certainly not judge as we've been tolerating his later shows with him playing wrecked with Percy's voice all destroyed from endless touring. C'mon Jimmy. Give 'em to us! We'll pay large!

52 years ago tonight. What a set list. Out of the Tiles in full? Eddie Cochran tribute? Plant and band sound in top form, as they very much were at that period as they were about to embark on the recording of Led Zep 4, which was one of the pinnacles.

amazing show! but I'd have it around their third or fourth best. Belfast 71, Copenhagen 71 & Montreaux 71 was the absolute peak of live Zeppelin

If I was alive back then, this would’ve probably been one of, if not the best, Saturday night of my life. I first listened to this entire bootleg a few months ago on a Friday night road trip I had to go on with very little coming out of it other than sleeping in a hotel room. But I made a good decision to download this concert on my phone and listen to it during the car ride. I was never happier to be in the backseat on a highway before in my life. In fact we passed through the city, adding to the ambience that zeppelin had been there, and it almost felt like I was at the concert in a weird way. Despite little coming out of the trip, the experience of listening to this bootleg throughout that night’s ride brought me immense joy. This is why I love bootlegs. It showed me that it wasn’t about the destination, but what you got out of the journey, and boy did I get a lot out of it.
