McCully Workshop - Ages

Review by Juliette Davis

McCully Workshop's latest album, Ages, is a musical journey that takes listeners on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The album features a mix of classic rock, blues, and folk influences, all blended together to create a unique sound that is both timeless and fresh.

The opening track, "Age of Aquarius," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy guitar riffs and infectious chorus. From there, the album takes listeners through a range of emotions, from the melancholic "Sail Away" to the upbeat "Goodbye Mama."

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Circus," a haunting ballad that showcases the band's versatility and musical prowess. The song is beautifully arranged, with layered vocals and intricate instrumentation that create a sense of drama and intrigue.

WOW! Insanely good! You can't use with UK and commonwealth bands/artists/LPS in this case a South African band. South Africa if you look past the unfortunate history of that time (and it's been years now so let it lie already) produced great bands of both UK descent and Belgium. If you can access overlooked albums you may find the overlooked ones are better than the ultra famous ones. It's always been that way except back in the 60s anything was possible. I wish I could have been around for them.
