Review by Charlotte Karlsen

Ululation's self-titled album is a musical masterpiece that showcases the band's unique sound and style. The album features a mix of heavy metal, punk, and grunge, and each track is a testament to the band's musical prowess.

The album opens with "Intro," a haunting instrumental that sets the tone for what's to come. From there, the band launches into "Bloodletting," a fierce and intense track that showcases the band's heavy metal roots.

Other standout tracks on the album include "Misanthropy," a punk-inspired anthem that features blistering guitar riffs and powerful vocals, and "The Abyss," a grunge-infused track that is both melancholic and haunting.

Throughout the album, Ululation's musicianship shines through, with each member contributing their own unique talents to create a cohesive and powerful sound. The production quality is also top-notch, with each instrument and vocal track coming through clear and crisp.

It’s funny that the only people who know about this amazing record are skaters that saw the old stereo video

oddly, Google search for "Long Shot Records" brought this ensemble to my attention, via Discogs. Wasn't hip to them last century, but pleased to pick up a long-dangling thread, a couple of days after posting my first Spotify single, a long shot, indeed. Carry on

I had searched high and low since the 90s for this vinyl. My search ended upon writing to Jerry Vejmola. He was kind enough to talk about playing music, jazz, fusion, fun conversing. I shown my love for this album from the Stereo skateboard video. He was impressd by our generations desire to keep this kind of music alive. He was kind enough to transfer a couple from his original vinyl to cd and ship it to me from up north.

Id say it speaks volumes of his love for the things he and the crew created years ago. "I never thought so many young people would like this so much...so many years later" he was dumbfounded that I had tracked down one of the original artists....but I wasnt the first he said "I have been contacted by a few younger people, all former skaters, looking for this album."....he followed that with....."I still dont get it"

Enjoy the tunes!
