South African singer and banjo player. Samuel "Mr Mac" McKenzie (1924-1990) played banjo for over 50 years. He was one of the last wave of true exponents of "Goema" music of the coloured people of Cape Town. Sometimes he performed with his son's band 'The Genuines'.
