Opal's album The Snake is a hauntingly beautiful collection of songs that showcase the band's unique blend of dreamy shoegaze and psychedelic rock. Released in 1989, the album features ethereal vocals from lead singer Kendra Smith, who effortlessly weaves her way through the band's intricate instrumentals.

The album opens with the hypnotic "Rocket Machine," which sets the tone for the rest of the record with its swirling guitars and atmospheric synths. Other standout tracks include the haunting "Soul Giver" and the ethereal "Siamese Trap," which features a mesmerizing guitar riff that will stay with you long after the song has ended.
