21 years since I've bought the 2x12. Track could still be easily played today. This track has more sophistication, musicality, and elegance than a lot of music today. This is indeed an amalgamation of incredible producers, at their very best. From the electronic scene: Orbital... one of the greatest electronic bands out there. Their sound pushed what electronic/dance music is today . Sasha, one of the greatest DJ's that taught the masses the art of mixing with cinematic and downright dark, but very emotional tracks. The icing of on the cake: The Light... truly, the very definition of the underground sound. Producers only known to DJ's. What little is known about this duo is the small number of tracks they produced that were ALL highly polished but dark and grand symphonic tracks. This merging of producers birthed this magnificent track that never hit the top 100. It's a track that was produced not for the masses but for those in "the scene" that demanded and would cherish not another piece of electronic/dance music... but music elevated to a new form... a new level. Got damn it... it's been 21 years and this track brings me to tears!

This is progressive house - at it's best. It is also breakbeat, but that's part of the progressive in progressive house. Pigeonholing into genres takes away from the main purpose. This would never work in its full form in a breakbeat set, nor would it in a house set. In the general understanding of progressive house (what is that?) it would fit right in. New synth sounds, new rhythms, new use of vocals - progresive.
