About Ovidiu Lipan Țăndărică

Romanian drummer, born 31st January 1953 in Iași. Ovidiu Lipan started his musical career at 9 years, with his own group - , followed by a collaboration with The Dragons. At 14, he was considered an outstanding instrumentalist and in 1969 he participated at the Pop-Rock Music Festival, where he won the first prize with . In 1970 he settled in Bucharest, where he had the opportunity to work with brand names such as , Peter Werthaimer, Marius Șeicu, . In 1974 Ovidiu Lipan joined . He left Romania in 1977, along with his band mates, establishing himself in Germany. He continued his musical work, collaborating with international artists like Eruption, , , , touring worldwide. In 1999 he re-settled to Romania.
