Byron Francisco Godoy Aguirre was born November 6th, 1971 in Riobamba - Ecuador. Pianist, composer and arranger he belongs to the fifth generation of a famous family of musicians and composers. He gave his first piano recital at the age of 5 in the Auditorium of the provincial Council of Chimborazo.
As arranger, musical director, composer and accompanist, Paco Godoy has recorded hundreds of songs with the best national and international artists.
He has composed hundreds of works in symphonic format, sacred music and popular music in its majority of national and international rhythms. Also had musicalized poems of poets such as Medardo Ángel Silva, Juan Bautista Aguirre, Gabriela Mistral, Rubén Darío, Ernesto Cardenal, Federico García Lorca, José Angel Buesa among others.
In February 22th, 2000 "Dr. Ruperto Alarcón Falconi" high school in Quito baptized its multiple-use classroom with the name of Paco Godoy, in recognition of his musical work.
The city of San Miguel de Bolivar in September 24th, 1997 declare Paco Godoy "San Migueleño honorary citizen".
