Review by Julio Verni

The Seekers' album "Their Greatest Years" is a delightful compilation of their most popular hits that will take you on a nostalgic journey through the 1960s. The album features some of the band's most memorable songs, including "I'll Never Find Another You," "Georgy Girl," and "A World of Our Own."

The album showcases the band's signature sound, which is characterized by their harmonious vocals and upbeat melodies. The songs are a perfect blend of folk and pop, and the lyrics are simple yet profound, making them easily relatable to listeners of all ages.

The album also features some lesser-known tracks, such as "The Carnival Is Over" and "Morningtown Ride," which add a refreshing touch to the collection. The Seekers' music is timeless, and this album is a testament to their enduring popularity and influence.

The Seekers, as we know them, were formed in 1962, when Judith Durham, a young jazz singer, met Athol Guy, who sang and played bass in a folk trio called The Seekers with Bruce Woodley and Keith Potger. Judith was invited to join the boys that night, in a coffee bar in South Yarra (a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) called the Treble Clef. The trio went through their repertoire, and Judith joined in and improvised, creating the distinctive sound which would bring them so much success over the next few years. Potger went on to manufacture after the split of the Seekers.
