Tha Doggfather is the second studio album by American rapper Snoop Dogg. Released in 1996, the album follows the success of his debut album, Doggystyle. The album features collaborations with a number of artists, including Charlie Wilson, Kurupt, and Nate Dogg.
Overall, Tha Doggfather received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the album for its laid-back, West Coast vibe and Snoop's smooth flow. Others criticized the album for its lack of originality and compared it unfavorably to Doggystyle.
Despite the mixed reviews, Tha Doggfather was a commercial success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and selling over 2 million copies in the United States. The album's lead single, "Snoop's Upside Ya Head," was also a hit, reaching number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
