About Tall Paul
Paul Newman started his DJing career playing in the Turnmills club thanks to his father John Newman, who bought it in 1985. He quickly demonstrated his natural skills on the decks in the "after" sessions at the club. Since then, he has held residence at The Zap, London's Gardening Club and legendary club Trade. He has played sets at clubs worldwide including the USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil & Ibiza.
In the studio, Paul created his very first release "Love Rush" in 1992 under the alias Decktition. Recording in the studio of Hooj Choons founder , he later released "Rok Da House" in 1994 and it went on to reach number 12 in the UK Singles Chart after being re-released by VC Recordings in 1997. He had even greater chart success under the alias with the Sandy B / Deep Dish-inspired "Let Me Show You" reaching number 5 in the UK. He also has an extensive remix history with productions for several high profile artists including Duran Duran, Nalin & Kane, Bizarre Inc, Dina Carroll and Blondie.
He eventually started his own label with Steffan Chandler and his brother , which he used to release his own tracks as well as productions by other artists including Robbie Rivera, DJ Lottie and Dave Aude.
He also had his own radio show on Kiss FM in the UK.

I can remember back in 2001 when i first heard this, it was this remix. I then went and brought the cd single only to find that this Riva remix wasnt on there and it was the shitty original. Found it on the 12 inch release though. ❤ it

When I heard Tall Paul slam this track on is Moonshine Mixed Live I was huge. This goes on the list of best classic tracks. Top all time favorite track of all time.

its August 2001 and im in the Mania region of Greece,i go to a Bar/Taverna late late almost dawn in a village down on the coast called Stoupa.I hear this for the first time sat at a little table looking out to sea drinking a bottle of ice cold retsina village wine and ouzo chasers,never forgot that few minutes of what was to me a most perfect music/drinking expireance,when i hear it now im back there in the mountains by the sea,but without the hangover,just love it.
