Review by Hope Varnes

Thompson Twins' album Lay Your Hands On Me King For A Day, released in 1985, is a testament to the band's versatility and creativity. The album features a wide range of styles, from upbeat pop songs to introspective ballads, and showcases the band's ability to blend different genres seamlessly.

The album's title track, "Lay Your Hands On Me," is a catchy and energetic pop song that became one of the band's most popular hits. The song's infectious chorus and driving rhythm make it a standout track on the album.

Other highlights of the album include the haunting ballad "Emperor's Clothes," which features a beautiful vocal performance by lead singer Tom Bailey, and the upbeat dance track "Don't Mess With Doctor Dream," which showcases the band's playful side.
