"On The Way To Wümme" is a tribute album to the influential German krautrock band Faust, featuring covers from a wide range of artists. The album showcases the diverse range of sounds and styles that Faust inspired, from ambient soundscapes to noisy experimental rock.
The album starts off with a haunting rendition of "It's a Rainy Day, Sunshine Girl" by Nils Frahm, which sets the tone for the rest of the album. Other standout tracks include a trippy electronic version of "The Sad Skinhead" by Tim Gane and Sean O'Hagan, and a noisy, chaotic take on "Mamie Is Blue" by Andrew Weatherall.
