When I was little boy growing up in Fayetteville, North Carolina, I wanted to be Michael Jackson like so many other teenage boys. We idolized his stardom. He was a hit from the start. His voice resonates in our hearts and minds even until this day. Michael Jackson was a gift from God. We were fortunate to watch him grow and evolve into the man he became. We don't have the answers for Why did he change or what happened? God is sovereign, providential and intentional. It happened according to God's plan, not ours. We say, "No, he didn't have to die or he was not a monster or he was mixed up in his sexual identity." I respond this way, "What about you?" He died when he was supposed to die. So, did Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all our sins. Accept Him today, now. Tomorrow will be too late.
