About Snowy White

British singer/guitarist, born on March 3, 1948 in Barnstaple, Devon, England. Prior to recording his debut album under his own name in 1983, Snowy White was a session guitarist with artists such as Pink Floyd and Peter Green and also briefly a member of Thin Lizzy in 1980-'81. In recent years he has fronted his own band Snowy White & The White Flames and has often played and toured with Roger Waters.

There have been 5 great guitar solo performances, Lynnard Skynard free bird, Jimmy Page Stair way to Heaven, Eric Clapton Layla, and lets not forget the amazing David Gilmour on Comfortably Numb with Pink Floyd but some how I think Bird of Paradise is the best ....whenever I hear it makes me feel sad. Call me soft !

i checked it.you're right.of course on the other hand because i'm a guitarist and you are not i can understand the huge difference between the 2 guitarists.Mark Knophler is A slow hand genius while white is an excellent guitarist but no way near to be in any comparison with Knophler .
